Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering an account or playing on Aegion Metin2 Private Server ("Aegion", "the Server", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Server.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Server following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use the Server. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you are under the age of 18, you confirm that you have parental or guardian consent to use the Server.

3. Account Rules

• You may register a maximum of 3 accounts per household or IP address. Multi-farming (using multiple accounts to farm resources for a single character) is strictly prohibited.
• You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password with anyone.
• Account sharing is discouraged and done at your own risk. We will not investigate disputes between account sharers.
• Account trading, selling, or purchasing for real money is prohibited.
• Character names must not contain offensive, hateful, or inappropriate language.

4. Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviours are strictly prohibited and will result in permanent bans without appeal:

• Hacking / Exploiting — Use of third-party software, bots, speed hacks, or any modification to the game client that provides an unfair advantage.
• Duplication exploits — Intentionally exploiting bugs to duplicate items, Yang, or experience.
• Harassment — Targeting, threatening, or repeatedly disturbing other players in a way that significantly affects their enjoyment of the game.
• Scamming — Deceiving other players through fake trades, impersonation of staff, or false promises.
• Chargebacks — Initiating a payment chargeback on any donation or purchase made on Aegion.
• Real-Money Trading (RMT) — Buying or selling in-game items, currency, or accounts for real-world money.

5. Game Masters & Staff

Aegion Game Masters (GMs) are volunteer staff members who help moderate the server. All legitimate GM contact occurs via the official Aegion Discord server. GMs will never ask for your account password.

Impersonating a GM or any staff member is a bannable offence.

6. Donations & Purchases

Any donations or purchases made to support Aegion are voluntary contributions. In return, cosmetic or convenience items may be provided as a thank-you. These items do not confer a competitive gameplay advantage.

All purchases are final. Refunds are not provided except where required by applicable law. Chargebacks will result in a permanent account ban and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

7. Intellectual Property

Metin2 is a registered trademark of Gameforge AG. Aegion is a fan-operated private server and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Gameforge AG. All game assets belong to their respective owners.

Original content created by the Aegion team (custom systems, website design, artwork) is the property of the Aegion project.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain server uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Server may be taken offline for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss of progress during downtime periods.

9. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban any account at our sole discretion, with or without prior warning, for violation of these Terms. In serious cases of misconduct, bans may be applied across all accounts associated with a user.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Aegion is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We make no representations regarding the reliability, accuracy, or availability of the Server. You use the Server at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aegion and its team members shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Server, including loss of in-game items or progress.
